Daisy M. Salort Honored by Leading Professional Organization
Daisy M. Salort named Cambridge Publishing's "Professional of the Year in Nutritional Services"

BRONX, NY, November 16, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Daisy M. Salort, Clinical Dietitian at the Montefiore Medical Center's North Division, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of nutritional services.

Daisy Salort became an associate of Montefiore Medical Center's North Division in July 2008 (when the medical center took over Our Lady of Mercy Medical Center) to continue to pursue her interest in teaching. She boasts a total of 48 years of professional experience and is chiefly responsible for educating patients on dialysis. She also acts as a home care consultant nutritionist for various programs and assists pregnant women to get the proper care required for them and their babies.

Ms. Salort received a master of arts in nutrition from New York University and master of arts in language at Columbia University's Teachers College. She is a member of the American Dietetic Association, the American Diabetes Association, American Diabetic Educators and the National Kidney Foundation. She attributes her success to her commitment, motivation and hard work. This year, Ms. Salort was chosen as Cambridge Publishing's "Professional of the Year in Nutritional Services," an honor reserved for only select individuals demonstrating professional excellence and integrity in their chosen fields of practice.
